Malini Moraghan

“No matter what field you’re in data will matter.”
Malini is the former Managing Director of Investments at Wholesome Wave.  For the past 3 years, she launched and led a small impact Investments team that focused on food and agriculture.  Her team structured and orchestrated millions in patient, flexible investment into regional food enterprises.  She has worked with a variety of food and farm businesses and a range of investor types focused on balancing financial viability and mission/social impact.  She also closely advises USDA leaders on emerging needs of agricultural entrepreneurs. This summer, Malini was invited by the White House Rural Council to speak on opportunities for investment in rural enterprises working in the food & farm sector.

Before she owned farm-grade rubber boots, Malini spent a decade in the private sector.  She was an Engagement Manager with global strategy firm McKinsey & Co., where she worked with corporate consumer products clients on growth strategy, international expansion, and sales & marketing.  Malini’s past experience also includes serving her community through AmeriCorps and serving time as an investment banker at JPMorgan in New York.
