Bio
Damon Burrell sits at the intersection of being a strong consumer marketer with both advertising agency and blue chip brand/creative experience along with in-depth digital and analytical expertise. More importantly, he has created and executed high-level campaigns that showcase detailed impact on ROI.

As SVP of Consumer & Digital Marketing, Mr. Burrell is responsible for developing multi-platform marketing programs designed to connect with audiences, build awareness, drive engagement and deliver on multiple marketing and business objectives. He is also responsible for enhancing the company’s strategies for collecting, analyzing and leveraging social data to help make smarter marketing decisions.

Under his leadership, MTV’s Consumer & Digital Marketing team is responsible for television, radio, outdoor, digital, social and search, CRM, experiential events, and the creation and windowing of promotional content across all platforms including Hulu, Amazon and iTunes. He also oversees app/mobile marketing, gaming integrations, social + fan engagements across 100M+ Facebook community, Twitter and Instagram as well as media mix modeling to determine ideal spending allocations for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.

During his tenure at MTV, he has helped support some of the biggest shows and campaigns in MTV’s history, including: Video Music Awards, Movie Awards, Teen Wolf, Jersey Shore, and Teen Mom, among others.

Prior to joining MTV, Mr. Burrell spent five years as a Group Account Director for Agency.com where he led media, creative, campaign analytics, website development and account teams for the seven major network brands within Discovery Networks.

Before moving to New York, Mr. Burrell worked for both DDB World Wide and Ogilvy Worldwide. There he helped both Ameritrade and Dynegy shape and execute respective integrated marketing campaigns in efforts to re-position their brand, increase market share and gain competitive advantages.
